Terms and Conditions for Nashik Petathon
Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully. By registering for or participating in Nashik Petathon ("Event"), you "Participant, " "you, " or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Nashik Petathon ("Organizer, " "we, " "us, " or "our").
1. Event Overview
Nashik Petathon is a community running and pet-friendly event that includes timed and untimed run categories, along with participation for:
* Individuals (with or without pets)
* Pet parents and their pets
* Families, kids, and fitness enthusiasts
The event is scheduled for 10th May 2026, at Fravashi Academy, Trimbak Road, Nashik.
2. Registration and Eligibility
2.1 Registration Process
Registration may be completed online or via offline forms.
2.2 Eligibility
* Open to individuals, families, and pet parents.
* Participants without pets will run in a separate batch from participants with pets.
* Minors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
2.3 Pet Eligibility & Responsibility
* Pets must be healthy, non-aggressive, and under control at all times.
* Dogs must be on a leash. Other pets must be handled appropriately.
* Pet owners are solely responsible for their pet’s behaviour, health, and actions during the event.
* The Organizer reserves the right to deny participation to any pet deemed unsafe.
* No dog in heat allowed.
* We have a separate play area for Dogs and Cats. Caution must be exercised by Pet Parents at all times.
2.4 Medical Fitness
You confirm that you (and your pet, if applicable) are physically fit to participate. You acknowledge risks including physical exertion, crowd interaction, and unpredictable pet behaviour.
2.5 Accuracy of Information
Providing false, incomplete, or misleading information may result in disqualification without refund.
3. Fees and Payment
3.1 Registration Fees
Fees vary by category and may include early bird offers.
3.2 Payment Methods
Online payments are processed via Razorpay. Offline payments may be accepted.
3.3 No Cancellation / No Refunds
All registrations are final. No cancellations, transfers, or refunds will be permitted under any
circumstances, including injury, illness, or non-attendance.
4. Event Cancellation or Changes
In case of cancellation, postponement, or modification due to force majeure (including weather, government restrictions, public safety concerns, etc.):
* No refunds will be issued
* The Organizer may offer alternatives such as deferral or adjustments at its discretion
* Participant safety will remain the top priority
5. Race Bibs, Kits & Entry
5.1 Collection
Participant kits (bib, t-shirt, etc.) must be collected physically from designated locations.
5.2 No Shipping
Kits will not be couriered.
5.3 Completion Benefits
Medals, certificates, or awards (if applicable) will only be given upon successful participation.6. Event Rules and Conduct
6.1 Compliance
Participants must follow all instructions issued by the Organizer, volunteers, and officials.
6.2 Bib Usage
Bib numbers are non-transferable. Misuse will result in disqualification.
6.3 Course Adherence
Participants must follow designated routes and batches.
6.4 Pet Conduct
* Pets must remain under control at all times
* Any aggressive or disruptive behaviour may lead to removal from the event
* Owners must clean up after their pets. Plastic bags will be made available in kits / at venue.
6.5 Safety & Medical
You consent to receive medical assistance if required during the event.
6.6 Disqualification
The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify any participant who:
* Violates rules
* Endangers others (including through pet behaviour)
* Acts irresponsibly or unsafely
7. Image, Media & Publicity Rights
By participating, you grant the Organizer the irrevocable right to use your name, image, likeness, voice, and your pet’s image in photographs, videos, and recordings for marketing, promotional, and commercial purposes, without compensation.
8. Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver
8.1 Assumption of Risk
You acknowledge that participation involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:
* Physical injury, exhaustion, or medical conditions
* Interaction with other participants, animals, and crowds
* Unpredictable pet behaviour* Environmental and ground conditions
You voluntarily assume all such risks for yourself and your pet.
8.2 Release of Liability
You hereby release, waive, and discharge the Organizer, its affiliates, sponsors, partners, volunteers, and representatives from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, or injuries (including death) arising out of participation in the Event.
This includes:
* Injury caused by other participants or pets
* Injury caused by your own pet
* Loss or damage to personal property or pets
8.3 Pet-Specific Liability
You accept full responsibility and liability for any damage, injury, or harm caused by your pet to any person, property, or other animals during the event.
9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Nashik, Maharashtra.
10. Amendments
The Organizer reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued participation implies acceptance of updated Terms.
